Twenty four hours in NICE
24 hours in Nice
So to kick start my New Years resolution of visiting a new place every month, I started in the south of France.
(Faaaaancy I know) This wasn't planned for any specific reason, other than the fact that the flight only set me back £10! (Costs more than a bloody travel card in London), so me being me, I booked the £10 flight without hesitation and began to look forward to my lill trip away.
I didn't plan to go with anyone as I've travelled alone before and had a whale of a time, but this time I asked a few pals and eventually my gal Danielle came through and booked her £10 flight, I sorted a cheap air bnb that was something silly like £25 for the night, we didn't plan anything and just hopped on the plane at Stansted.
Let the 24 hours begin!
I'm not gonna lie to ya'll, you can get so much done in 24 hours!
We landed at around 11am, it took us an hour and a half to find our apartment (even though it was 20 minutes max from the airport lol). Once at the apartment, I got changed quickly- made myself look all cute- and off we went.
First Destination
(A super cute pic of me and Danielle living our best French lives)
The museum of modern art was actually really good, not only for the art but also the fact that students get in for free- its a YES from me)
Next Stop
The best thing about only having 24 hours in a place is that you're forced to explore.. ain't no time for procrastination!
Luckily, our exploring led us to the most amazing location, I could only describe it as a fairytale. We climbed up what felt like 2,000 cobbled steps (which was props about 20, but still, I was queezy half way), we genuinely didn't have a clue what it led to and we were met with the most beautiful space that looked over Nice. The whole time it felt like Narnia and we loved it!
